NEVER AGAIN

I spent lele a few visits, but the last one was with total humiliation and disgrace.

Me and a friend had a evening off, she had the kid taken care off, and we looked forward to a nice relaxing night.

Being monday, the place was very empty, it was after 20.00, so my guess was that they wouldnt be having the big rush that night. We were anyway shown to a strange high table by a pellar in the middle of the room. Fair enough, we ordered something to drink and the starter came within minutes. We ate,chatted and didnt think to much about it. After a while we thought it really took a while for the main to arrive, having a clear view of the kithcen, i started to look over to see if something was comming our way.

I saw to mains, similar to what we ordered, soup and steamed mussels, put on the desk, and told my friend it was on the go.

When no one picked up the dishes we didnt think to much of it. After a while we asked for our mains, and we could se the waitress going to another waiter, and another one, and finally pick up the portions i saw put on the bench 10 minutes before.

As they arrived to the table and the steamed mussels where not so steaming and the soup was cold, i just quietly ask the waitress if they could reheat our food as it was cold.

I didnt ask loud, didnt ask for a new portion, just for it to be reheated so we could eat it. I been in the business myself for a long time and know there can be mistakes done, but they can also be corrected if you want to.

Suddenly the owner came flying up to us asking what was wrong. I repeated what i said to the waitress, and didnt think to much off it.

This is where the most rude behaviour started.

I was told that if we wanted gourmet food we had to go to gourmet restaurant, if I was to good for his food i should leave.

???

Straight from yoga class, i had no intention to get stressed, and just calmly repeated that we liked his food but it was just served cold.

The owner continued to throw blames over us and asking why he should pay a headchef more than 30000 kr/ month if he couldnt cook. Well, i dont think that should be for the guest to answer.

The weird situation with the owner blaming us for asking for warm food ended with him telling us, even though he talked and raised his voice, that we were creating a negative athmosphere and should leave.

What????

Hello, if you offer warm food, people do have the right to get it warm.

I have never seen anything like this, most would not reheat, but prepare a new portion, have it on the table within minutes, and its forgotten about.

But no, a few minutes later we are on the street, still hungry, unfortunately rather irritated, and head for a sushi down the road.

NEVER AGAIN, what a treatment.

How can anyone run a restaurant this way.
