We dined at Den Anden the other night. The room was pleasantly decorated. But for the size of the room, there are too many tables in my opinion, it feels quite stuffed. More importantly, it was very loud, too loud for relaxed chatting over dinner.

The other negative point is that the service was very slow. We had probably sat there for an hour already until we finally got our starters. And waiting in such a noisy atmosphere is not exactly pleasant.

The Charcuterie served as first course was quite nice. We found the starter we had chosen, a cold consommé with goat cheese and tomato, a somewhat unlucky combination, the goat cheese swimming unmotivatedly in a cold broth, the two textures not going well with each other. The main dishes on the other hand were tasty and more creative.

We recently dined at Fischer's - the experience was not as good as expected. To begin with, we were assigned a table at a very uncozy table inbetween the bar and the toilets, even though we had made a reservation. On top of that, it was very wiggly and we had to put something under the tables foot to make it steady.

The menu was quite compact, with two pasta dishes, two main courses (of one of which was only one left), one dessert and cheese.

Both the starter (Ravioli with Nuts and Gorgonzola) and the main course (Fowl with Cherry tomatoes) were oversalted. Besides, three (!) cherry tomatoes don't quite suffice as a complement to the meat in my opinion. On a positive note, the small bread rolls were very tasty, and the service was friendly, though not overly professional.

In all, for the performance delivered we found Fischer somewhat overpriced.

Recently ate dinner there on a weekend evening. The food we got tasted very good. I also like them giving you an entire bread. However, we had to wait for a very long time until we actually got the food. A restaurant that only serves three main courses should be able to cope better with it being full. The wine was of good quality but served too early and too warm. Finally, I found it disappointing that a place like that doesn't serve Espresso coffee.
