Black Pop presents a cutting-edge contemporary art gallery in collaboration with Paludan Bookstore on Fiolstrade in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. The galleries vision is to stage challenging and ambitious exhibitions, exclusive to the gallery, and to complement them with talks by artists, curators, designers, publishers and critics.
Black Pop was established to encourage innovative ideas and practices, and to promote artists taking on
challenges and concerns at the heart of contemporary culture. The managerial team works closely with each artist for at least a year ahead of the exhibition. This allows artists to generate projects that demonstrate artistic rigour and creative development, and for their work to correspond with the galleries space and its ethos. Further- more Black Pop fundraises on behalf of the projects, allowing our artists to concentrate on creating their esteemed work for their exhibitions.
Black Pop gallery has a wide-ranging program designed to accommodate creative enquiries into urban and contemporary art. Our expertise extends across numerous disciplines such as: animation, audio, fashion, film and video, illustration, music, painting, performance, print, photography, poetry, sculpture and textiles.
