Dunkel has become a popular choice with both younger and older generations of Copenhagen’s clubbers and the party often extends to the pavement in front of the club. The dance floor is not the largest around, but that doesn’t stop anyone. The club has a great atmosphere and is often completely packed with dancing crowds.

Culture Box

Culture Box is the beating centre of electronic sub-culture in Copenhagen and owes much of its present success to the club in Kronprinsessegade. The unpromising style of the Box has attracted an impressive array of global top artists and international attention for almost 10 years now – and of course a large number of dedicated Danish regulars.

The old gay club Pan closed in April 2007 and reopened shortly after as the pan sexual K3, which now is rather explicit about NOT making a point out of the sexual preferences of its guests. Among the club’s major attractions is the still immensely popular club Slik on Thursdays.

Vega Natklub

The classic place to spend a night of partying is Vega at Vesterbro, which encompasses the diversity of Copenhagen’s night life. The club has a beautiful interior and great sound system which appeals to techno geeks, new ravers in neon coloured outfits, poor students and anyone who’s just looking for a good time. Vega has had something of a revival after a re-launch when, among other attractions, a beautiful light bar was added to the interior.
