Take the guys out for a night on the town.

Tonight’s the night, the boys are going out, but where do you go? You want tasty proteins on the table, quality beer, wine or whiskey in the glass and the restaurant has got to have that ‘it’ feeling and exude quality. We have six places for you that AOK’s food editor would book any day.

Rebel

Rebel has taken its name because it refuses to take bullshit from anyone. You won’t get lectures or fantastical stories about where it’s from or how it’s made. What you will get, however, is amazing gourmet light food served in cozy and lively surroundings at an affordable price level. You get deep flavors, rich sauces and a buzzing, inn-like atmosphere of the best kind.

Le Sommelier

If you think that a real guys’ night out goes hand in hand with good wine, Le Sommelier is the place to go. You get great French food at a good price and they have a wine menu that you could study for weeks, months, even years. If you ask nicely, it’s usually possible to get a tour of the wine cellar, complete with dust, chandeliers and otherworldly wine.

Nose2Tail

Nose2Tail serves shots of FernetBranca for DKK 10 – and maybe that’s all you need to know. Nose2Tail creates solid, organic food that will please anyone, boy or girl. There’s an intimate, homey atmosphere that is hard to find other places and don’t be surprised if your waiter decides to take a shot with you and your friends. Their prices are good and considering how great the food is, the prices are almost symbolic.

Madsvinet

Madsvinet has moved into an old, high-ceilinged butcher shop and it’s been a great success. In the oblong room, you’ll find the kitchen, bar and guests mixed together in a delightful hodgepodge that makes it feel as if you’re eating at your friend’s place - if that friend is an avant-garde bohemian chef. Madsvinet values organic produce and natural wine, beautifully arranged courses with plenty of taste and the house cocktails are written on an old chalkboard.

Enomania

Rumor has it that guests have wept after visiting Enomania – with joy, that is. This Italian restaurant is sort of off the radar, but is still known as one of the absolute favorites in town among chefs and culinary experts – and they want to keep it to themselves. Enomania combines simple, Piedmontese food with incredible wine at fair prices. Or, in other words: A perfect night in Italy with the boys.

Pluto

Are you ready for some solid man food? You could have a great guys’ night out at all of Pluto’s sister restaurants such as Retour, Mêlée or Barbie, but we’ve chosen Pluto because of its diverse menu that is full of amazingly delicious protein bombs and intestines, which could convert even the most sensitive people. At Pluto, you always get your money’s worth, the place is full and the cocktail menu is extensive.
