Helle Thorup Cph Spa (Former Avalon Spa) is one of Copenhagen’s luxury spas, offering luxury treatments from head to toe in surroundings which themselves are well worth a visit. At the heart of the spa is a lavish Jacuzzi with room enough for 8 guests, surrounded by columns and lit at the top by small lamps looking like a piece of starry sky.

Next to it is a resting area where you may relax in between treatments. All treatments begin in a common room, where you soak your feet whilst talking through your particular wishes with the staff. Treatments include body scrubs, body wraps, facials and various bathing rituals.

With each treatment you’ll be served a juice or smoothie, which is specially composed in order to suit the specific treatment and you may for example be offered a juice based on seaweed (it’s supposed to taste lovely). The spa also has a fitness area, yoga room, steam room, sauna and juice bar.

On the lower floor of Øbro-Hallen you’ll find a public bath with relaxation area, hot water tub, sauna etc. The spa’s relaxed surroundings are stylish and minimalistic with a black and ice-blue colour scheme and here you may relax in the hot water tub and try the spa’s different forms of sauna mists (aroma therapy, which are enjoyed alternately in the sauna and under the cold shower). You’ll also find a large selection of delicious aroma baths.

Water Mass in Vesterbro is cosy kitch, has a warm atmosphere and a treatment that makes your body feel comfortably spoiled long after leaving the place. With pink tiles on the walls and royal blue carpets the clinic looks like a set from a Danish film from the sixties. In the middle of the room stands the large, steaming tub prettily decorated with rosebuds and leaves ready for the water massage.

You change behind a curtain in the same room - birthday suit is preferable, but wearing a swim suit is also perfectly all right if you’re modest. The masseuse directs the water jets, which each have a pressure of 6-7 atm, onto your body, but since you’re covered in water, it only feels like a very pleasant pressure. After the water massage, you’ll get a 30 mins. body massage – ahhh...

Well-Come Spa is part of the large fitness centre Well-Come Fitness in the shopping centre Waterfront right by the water in the Tuborg Habour. The spa includes a large hot water tub with underwater music, which is supposed to give you a sense of relaxation. You’ll also find a bio sauna, a steam room and a lounge area with magazines, fireplace, coffee, tea and fruit.

Well-Come Spa also organises special arrangements such as sauna mist, hen/stag parties and company events.
